Key responsibilities :

Manages the financial administration and governance for EMEA in co-operation with the Global Business Services that are available from group

Maintains and develops a senior level interface between the company's Finance Centers of Excellence and EMEA to ensure effective and timely performance planning and measurement and financial governance including; adherence to finance policy, secure treasury practices, effective transfer pricing, effective tax management and timely implementation of audit findings.

Establishes, maintains and develops a senior level interface with external parties like the tax authority, central statistics agency, accountancy firms, national banks, but also local sourcing partners.

Leads initiatives to improve efficiency and remove duplication of activities across EMEA and the shared service functions of the company. This will include the centralisation of activities, removal of non-value add work, watch discretionary spend and drive compliance to standard process.

1- Manages the financial administration and governance across EMEA ( 7-9 entities = 2 Billion Revenue) :

Ensure accounting is fully compliant with the company's guideline guidelines and policy as well as accounting standards in practice

Use cash flow forecast to evaluate and plan the future funding requirements of the EMEA whilst ensuring FX and credit risks are minimized.

Effectively manage EMEA company taxation and legal position in compliance with group Tax policies and legislative requirements.

Ensure that transfer pricing guidelines with EMEA and the company are followed strictly

Complete statutory audit of region /business unit entities in time and without audit issues. Ensure internal audit findings are implemented in a timely manner.

Ensures adequate corporate housekeeping in relation to the local Chamber of Commerce and governance requirements like Shareholder resolutions

2- Maintains and develops a senior level interface with financial teams internally and externally:

Engage with treasury and tax centers of excellence

Be the local point of contact for external entities like Central Statistics Agency, Banks and Tax authorities

Engage with KPMG VAT services center

Engage with the finance departments of our supply partners

3- Leads initiatives to improve efficiency:

Ensure KPI's for the team are clearly established, communicated and agreed

Be the guardian of the EMEA OPEX

Act as lead custodian of the core of financial transactional processes that support the company's global business.

Lead the implementation of standard global processes and drive compliance to these processes across EMEA.

Cascade the company's strategic direction, inspire and motivate teams to lift and work together towards clear team and individual goals

Through recruitment, coaching, development, performance management, talent and succession planning build the people capability required to deliver sustainable performance.

Secures additional resources as required from Global Business Services

University Business Degree / Qualified by Experience

Accounting Degree preferred

5 years post qualified experience (or equivalent QBE), 3 of which are in a senior level position of influence and are within a +100m TO business

Knowledge of local tax & compliance in NL

Direct responsibility for Pricing and the mechanics that drive it.

Expert Excel user, and Business Warehouse user.

Competency in JDE/SAP preferred

Systems implementation experience preferred (ideally SAP)

FMCG experience is a strong preference


International experience in Financial control within a dynamic company
