Over onze klant

For our client, an international organisation focused on Data & Analytics, we are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel/Paralegal. They work for 90% of the Fortune Top 500 companies and help them make strategic decisiosn based on data. If you are interested in big data and IA then they are interested in speaking to you!

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

  • Partner with sales teams to assist in the project management of deals to conclusion, including advising on commercial deal structuring, negotiating and drafting the contracts
  • Negotiate and document contracts with licensors and suppliers
  • Lead initiatives to enhance and improv standard contract forms and processes in the Benelux markets
  • Work with other internal constituents (e.g. product management, product development, marketing, vendor management, data & operations, pricing, finance) to support business initiatives that affect contract management and compliance
  • Keep the business abreast of legal and regulatory developments, in consultation with outside experts, in order that leadership teams can react accordingly and coordinate actions
  • Align with colleagues in the legal team, for specialized and/or localized support as needed (e.g. data privacy and compliance, employment, complaints handling/litigation, M&A, tax, disputes etc.)

Profiel

  • 3-4 years of experience in legal (contractual) matters, negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts directly with customers, suppliers and other parties
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contract law, intellectual property licensing and commercial contracting concepts is essential
  • Knowledge of Dutch law essential (knowledge of Belgium law would be an advantage, but is not a requirement)
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and influence internal partners at all levels.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, oral and written communication, and problem solving skills essential
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible with a hands-on approach
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written
  • Good computer skills (use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are essential
